Life Is a Spider’s Web
For life is a spider’s weaving,
Spun from the quanta’s energy,
Where eternity’s already breathing—
Thought, souls and magic in synergy.
Don’t ask why plants give time away
To flowers, why the sun and skies
Exist, or who is meant to pay
For all that blooms before our eyes.
Don’t ask what use mankind can be
When nature is the foe we fight,
While eyes beneath their lids won’t see
The world approach the chasm’s night.
For life is a spider’s weaving,
Spun from the quanta’s energy,
Where eternity’s already breathing—
Thought, souls and magic in synergy.
Don’t ask if “lesser evil” can
Be “green”—nor if, brought low by strife,
A beggar, a forgotten man,
Will glimpse the naked truth of life.
Don’t ask what life beyond death brings;
Your reckoning may stray too far.
Though through your soul that question stings,
You cannot count each distant star.
For life is a spider’s weaving,
Spun from the quanta’s energy,
Where eternity’s already breathing—
Thought, souls and magic in synergy.
